An endowed modern rustic mountain Vermont home has been won by a Hinsdale family in an HGTV contest.
The gorgeous house is situated in the midst of ski slopes at Mount Mansfield in Stowe. This incredible house is part of a $2 million package prize that includes a new GMC Acadia Denali and $500,000. The house can afford 14 people. A hot tub that is located next to an outdoor fireplace is one of the special remarks you can find.
Eric and Catherine Makstenieks were very surprised with the onset of Monica Pedersen, an HGTV reporter with her crew on Tuesday morning at their home for a program to air at 7 p.m. March 19.
Eric Makstenieks, still in his shocking but happy face said, “There is no more to say than we feel blessed and fortunate to win this incredible present”.
Later, Makstenieks persistently said that he has entered the HGTV Dream Home Giveaway since 2003, as what other HGTV home giveaway contests have. He entered this awesome house a couple of times daily online from July through February.
“The houses in the contests were always just magnificent,” he said.
The Maksteniekses will most likely not move to Vermont. Eric Makstenieks is a dad stays at home, while Catherine is on maternity leave from her job in compliance at an investment bank. The couple has two children; a 3-year-old and a 6-week-old. “We have family here. Yet, we haven’t decided what our financial decision would be. Thus, the home will be for our vacation lodge.”
