Many inspirations come from anything in this world. Among many things in the universe that may inspire the designs, one of the most famous one is from the nature. An artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz was inspired by nature as well, especially by ivy. He then realized his idea by creating an exteremly original bookshelf inspired by ivy.
The shelf is called Metamorphosis shelf. The design is undoubtedly extraordinary. It jogs our memory of thick ivy but now it functions as a storing solution. It is Baltic birch plywood painted in black that became the primary material of the shelf. This kind of furniture will suit a modern or even Gothic interior. The shelf looks quite philosophical and a little bit menacing, but you don’t need to worry since the design is made very safe. Moreover, its exceptionality and unique design will surely attract everybody’s attention. This piece is also applicable both in an office and in a room.
